Died peacefully at his residence at the age of 94 after a long and full life. He
was predeceased by his loving wife, Betty in 2005.
Was greatly loved by his sons Ronald (Leslie) and David (Ann) and a proud
grandfather to Ashley and Kenneth.
The family appreciates the care and support from his personal care worker,
Mussie, the staff at the Duke of Devonshire, and all the health care
professionals who have attended to his needs.
Clare settled in Ottawa in 1942, worked in wartime signals intelligence where he
met his wife, and was the third employee of the Defence Research Board in 1946.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the City View United Church.
For those who wish to do so, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or
Prostate Cancer Canada would be appreciated.

Hello:
Clarence McKerrow, father of Ron and Dave McKerrow, passed away peacefully on
March 24, 2014. There will not be a funeral but there will be a memorial
service to be announced late in April. Attached is a copy of the obituary that
will be published March 29.
I have included a photo of
our mother, Betty McKerrow, who met my father in WW II signals intelligence
work. They enjoyed a very happy marriage of 59 years until her death in 2005.
I am also including a few
other photos?..

Clare was one of the
senior operators at the Ottawa Monitoring Station when I joined that group
in 1942. When we returned to Ottawa in the 1960's we met again, usually at
Church functions - he was in the City Vieww UC choir while we attended
Carleton Memorial UC. Another Silent Key in the list of old friends.
