MELNYK, Max Edward Communications Consultant and former Chief of Spectrum Policy in Industry Canada.

 

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1942, Max left us peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2011, at the Heart Institute of the Civic Campus.

 

His zest for life and positive attitude will leave many missing him tremendously.

 

He is survived by his wife, Claudia Peterkin, daughter Suzanne, stepdaughters Melissa and Kim, son Billy, stepson Malone, granddaughter Alyssa and grandson Kyle, sisters Pat and Marlene of Winnipeg, brother Ron of Vancouver. Also predeceased by daughter Cherryl (July 4, 2008). In lieu of flowers, the family is recommending a donation to the Ottawa Heart Institute.
