Stanley Ribee passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 21, 2015 in the company of his family.

Stan is survived by his loving wife Agnes, his adoring sons Alan (Kelly) and John (Pete), and his adored grandsons Jake (Gunner Ribee of the 2nd Royal Canadian Horse Artillery) and Kyle.

Stan served in the British Merchant Service as a radio officer during WWII and, since emigrating to Canada, had a long and prosperous career in the Federal Government of Canada. He retired as District Manager, Federal Department of Communications.

At Stan's request, cremation and interment has taken place.

As I understand it from second-hand information, Mr. Ribee started in the Windsor Office, and eventually moved to the Hamilton District Office, where he retired in 1988. I am trying to find some photos of him, and if found I will send them to you.

Stan was one of the crew at Toronto District when I was first hired in 1968. He won the competition to be the DM at the new Windsor DO.
