It went sailing through the air at the speed of light...then it was gone. Kur-plunk, right in that round little pocket on the 16th hole of the Manderly Golf Course. A hole in one at 161 yards, accomplished with a 3 wood. Go figure!

Dan Sigouin, of the Certification and Engineering Bureau at 1241 Clyde in Ottawa, had officially joined the "Hole in One Club". The witnesses to this "moment extraordinaire", were Max Griese and Dan Hill.

Monday to Friday Dan is busy certifying radio and terminal equipment to be sold on the Canadian market according to Canadian standards. When-ever he gets the opportunity, Dan heads straight for the golf course.

Tiger Woods look out...

Elle a fendu l'air à la vitesse de l'éclair... avant de disparaître. Disparue, directe-ment dans la petite coupe ronde du 16e trou au terrain de golf Manderly. Un trou d'un coup à une distance de 161 verges, réalisé à l'aide d'un bois no 3.

Daniel Sigouin, du Bureau d'homologation et de services techniques situé au 1241 de l'avenue Clyde, à Ottawa, s'est joint officiellement au « club du trou d'un coup ». Max Griese et Dan Hill ont été les témoins de ce moment inoubliable.

En semaine, M. Sigouin est chargé d'homologuer du matériel radio et du matériel terminal qui sera vendu au Canada selon les normes canadiennes. Lorsqu'il en a l'occasion, il se dirige tout droit vers le terrain de golf.
